SC-P2 / RETURNS

30 days to return, and no restocking fee

Including wrong fitment, which most of this trade charges 25 to 50 percent to take back.

90-day warranty30-day returns$0 restockingFreight and parcel

You have 30 days from delivery to return a part you have not installed. There is
no restocking fee. That includes a part that turned out not to fit.

That last point is deliberate. Most of this trade charges 25 to 50 percent to take back a part the buyer ordered
wrong. We would rather spend our effort making sure you order the right part in the first place, which is why the
fitment is stated on every listing and why we will check a VIN for you before you buy.

The policy at a glance

Term What we do
Return window 30 days from delivery
Condition required Uninstalled, unmodified, in the condition it shipped
Restocking fee $0. We do not charge one
Wrong fitment Accepted inside the window on the same terms
Change of mind Accepted inside the window on the same terms
Return freight Buyer pays, except where we were at fault (see below)
Refund timing 5 business days after the part arrives and is inspected
Refund method Back to the original payment method

When we pay the return freight

We cover the cost of getting the part back to us when the fault is ours:

  • We shipped the wrong part.
  • The part is not as described on the listing.
  • The part arrived damaged and the damage was recorded correctly on delivery.

Outside those cases the buyer pays the return freight. We are not going to pretend otherwise. These are heavy
freight items and a return leg on a truck bed or a heavy duty bumper is a real cost. Every yard in this trade
handles it the same way, and the ones that claim not to are usually charging for it somewhere else.

How a wrong-fitment return works

This is the most common dispute in used parts, so here is exactly what happens.

  1. Call or email us before you send anything back. We will ask for your VIN and the part number if there is one,
because occasionally the part is right and the problem is something else.
  2. If it genuinely does not fit, we issue a return authorisation in writing.
  3. You return the part, uninstalled and undamaged, at your cost, within the 30 day window.
  4. We inspect it and refund you in full within 5 business days. No restocking fee is deducted.
  5. If we hold a unit that does fit, we will offer that instead and put the refund toward it.

Do not attempt to make a part fit. A drilled bracket or a reworked mount is a modified part and
it is no longer returnable.

What we cannot take back

  • A part that has been installed, even briefly.
  • A part that has been painted, refinished, cut, drilled, welded or otherwise modified.
  • A part damaged after delivery.
  • A part returned after the 30 day window has closed.
  • A part returned without a return authorisation, because we have no way to match it to an order.

If it arrives damaged

Freight damage is handled differently and it is time-critical. Inspect the part before you sign the
bill of lading.
If there is damage, write it on the bill of lading at the moment you sign, photograph it
before it comes off the truck, and contact us within 48 hours. A signed clean bill of lading
is the carrier's evidence that the part arrived intact, and once it is signed the claim becomes very hard to win for
anybody. Full detail is on the shipping and delivery page.
